At SpotLight, participating children have the unique opportunity to take part in some of our major concert productions and experience the stage. They perform side by side with trained professional musicians on the big stage. This contributes to the development of personal skills in the areas of self-confidence and authentic self-expression.
However, the fun and individual musical development of the children are our top priority.
Furthermore, it is very important to us to teach children socially relevant values such as acceptance and mutual respect through play, so that these values become internalized and become a matter of course in their interactions with one another. OUR OFFERS
SPOTLIGHT AG
The SpotLight Clubs at elementary schools represent the entry point into the SpotLight Vocal Department. Through weekly club sessions at the respective elementary school, third- and fourth-graders are prepared for participation in our large-scale, professional concert productions. The goal is to encourage children to use their own voices and to introduce them to the joys of music and movement. Participating children learn to see and value themselves as a collaborative team.
The club costs €15.00 per month and includes a weekly SpotLight class, digital practice materials, and costumes. The fee can be financed through the Education and Participation Package.

SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY
Choir groups
For all children who enjoy and have talent for singing,
There is the possibility in our
SpotLight Kids Choir groups at the RuhrstadtARENA in Herne offer musical support. Together, the children prepare for major concert productions and then experience unique moments on stage.
Our groups:
Fireflies (children in grades 1 and 2)
AllStars (children from 3rd grade to 14 years)

SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY
Cast groups
The SpotLight Cast groups include selected children
Ages 8 and up with a special musical talent. Most of them found their way to the SpotLight Kids through a primary school project and have subsequently developed into confident young stage artists through continuous instruction. Elements of vocal training and further development of stage performance are an integral part of SpotLight Cast rehearsals. Solo work with the children and the development of show repertoire are a focus.

BashNight
Once a month, a big SpotNight takes place at the RuhrstadtARENA for all children in fourth grade and above. Cool games, exciting stories, and, of course, lots of fun are on the agenda. Participation is free.
A small snack is included!
