HERE ARE THE KIDS
IN THE SPOTLIGHT

The aim of the SpotLight Initiative is to integrate, encourage and inspire children from a wide variety of ethnic and social backgrounds with contemporary music.

The initiative works closely with primary schools to provide children with integrated music education in their daily lives.

SpotLight Key Facts:

• A music education project established by Folkwang graduates for 20 years, involving children in professional concert productions
  

• Around 10,000 children from over 100 different primary schools in the Ruhr area have already taken part.
  

• An annual project for 3rd and 4th grade elementary school students

• One lesson per week at your own primary school
  

• Child-friendly and contemporary repertoire, which is specially developed, composed and produced for the initiative
  

• S Quality control by trained supervisors
  

• Integration and personal-team- oriented support of children
